Dog Eat Dog World

“I have always thought of myself as a helpful person, one who wouldn’t care about himself and helps others first.
That was only up until that fateful night. It was a really dark and moonless. My friend Rohit and I were on a trip and staying in a bungalow inside a forest.
We were chilling in our room and were telling each other scary stories. It was so quiet outside that you could hear yourself breathe.
In the middle of our conversation, we heard a really loud bang on our window. I jumped out of the bed and ran outside the room without waiting or thinking about Rohit.
When my life was in jeopardy, all I cared about was me. Every man for himself. It was a sad realisation.
We never really did figure out what that loud bang was”.
